New efforts under way in Charleston

In Charleston, efforts are focusing on helping the community achieve healthy lifestyles by addressing physical inactivity, food insecurity, loneliness, and social isolation. Specifically, Humana partners with Mountaineer Food Bank, which provides food and  other household items to over 460 feeding programs throughout the state. The Veterans Table program prepares, packs and delivers nearly 1,125 healthy food boxes a month for veterans who might otherwise go without. Additional food insecurity efforts include working with United Way to support their Day of Caring where we will collect, pack and deliver food boxes to seniors.
