Humana and Allina Health partner to support value-based care principles in Midwest

Value-based care aims to bolster patient health outcomes in a cost-neutral fashion, which is core to Humana’s population health strategy. Allina Health, a non-profit health care system that serves Minnesota and western Wisconsin, shares a commitment to value-based care principles for the communities they serve.

A recent strategic partnership between Humana and Allina Health will emphasize those principles for Medicare Advantage members in order to support personalized medicine, preventative healthcare, and physician payment models based on health outcomes as opposed to quantity of services.
