The Humana Foundation provides disaster relief to middle Tennessee after flood devastates community
Disaster relief is integral to the Humana Foundation and their commitment to philanthropy and population health. Several counties in Tennessee recently experienced 14 inches of rainfall over a 6 hour period, resulting in a public health crisis.
The Humana Foundation is helping to address the needs of the affected communities by donating $50,000 to the relief fund. The Foundation is targeting health-related social needs with this effort, with a particular focus on food and financial security. Money contributed to the fund will be disbursed through grants to nonprofits supporting relief and restoration throughout middle Tennessee in those regions that were most impacted by the flooding.
